Drozdova Irina

Irina Drozd was born on 17th of March 1980 in Rzhev, Tver, Russia. Her artistic education began in 1997 at the Venetzianov Tver Art School in Tver, Russia. Having completed her initial schooling in fine art in 2002, Drozd went on to graduate from the St. Petersburg State Academy of Art and Design at the faculty of monumental and decorative painting where she studied under professor S.P. Ponomarenko from 2003 - 2009. Even before Drozd graduated from the Academy of Arts and Design in St. Petersburg she had made a name for herself internationally.

In 2007 the artist completed her studies at the High Art University in Berlin under professor Werner Liebmann. Drozd had the opportunity to develop her work further in Paris where she was an invited artist at the "Cité Internationale des Arts" in 2010.

Her works are in demand not only in Russia however, all across the globe and both official and private collections for example, the Museum of Modern Art in Moscow and the passionate art collector Lenny Kravitz are acquiring works of this talented new star.
