Aldoshin Vladimir

Vladimir Aldoshin currently lives in Bryansk, where he was born in 1951. Since his early years he was fond of drawing and attended a drawing studio. He graduated from the Penza Art School in 1973. Aldoshin studied art history and frequently went to Moscow to visit exhibitions. The artist has an affinity for art of the early twentieth century, fauvists and Russian avant-garde.

Aldoshin has taught for more than thirty years. During that time he has headed drawing studios, taught in the Bryansk Art School as well as art classes for children. The artist believes that working with children sends him back to his own childhood, to the brightness and candidness of perception.

The artist started to exhibit immediately after graduating and became a member of the Union of Artists in the mid-nineties.

Aldoshin says that he has not painted from nature for a long time, preferring to build his art around his impressions in his workshop.

It may seem at times that Aldoshin’s works are mundanely simple because he paints the scenes of our daily lives: landscapes, still lives and interiors – everything that surrounds us each day. However, owing to his outstanding colouristic talent, the artist creates a harmonious color environment and his paintings are free of the roughness and inconsistencies of the everyday human existence.
