Lyahovich Sergey

Sergei Liakhovich, an artist from St. Petersburg, is a passionate romantic, author of a series of urban landscapes, and a successor of the best Russian painting traditions.

Born in a small town in Leningrad region in 1961. After finishing an art school, entered the V.A. Serov Art College and then the Faculty of Painting of St. Petersburg Academy of Arts in 1985. After the successful graduation from Professor P. Fomin’s studio, Sergei continued his searches for the personal style and visual language. His student devotion to the Impressionists and Russian artists of the early twentieth century influenced his painting manner of the mature period.

  • 1991 — graduated from the I. Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, class of Professor P. Fomin
